CTO Dave Tsai Named to Dallas Innovates AI 75 List

Toyota Connected North America Chief Technology Officer Dave Tsai has been named to the Dallas Innovates AI 75 list for 2025.

This honor recognizes leaders, visionaries and creators who are fueling the growth of artificial intelligence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Nominees were reviewed for demonstrated excellence in key criteria and awarded a spot in one of seven categories.

Tsai received an AI Visionary award for his thought-leadership, which is helping to shape the future of AI at Toyota Connected North America (TCNA) and Toyota Motor North America:

Tsai has played a pivotal role in Toyota’s AI transformation across both connected vehicle platforms and enterprise functions.

A founding member of TCNA, he has driven the development of in-house telematics platforms as well as significant advancements in software-defined vehicle technologies, focusing on integrating AI to enhance vehicle safety, user experience, and connectivity.

Tsai also has led the “democratization” of artificial intelligence across every part of the organization. He’s been responsible for using AI to transform supply chain management, enhance productivity, and bolster innovation in areas including finance, HR, and manufacturing.

Tsai, who first joined Toyota in 2004 and holds six patents, served as an engineering program manager at Facebook from 2018 to 2021.

The AI 75 initiative began as a collaboration between Dallas Innovates magazine; Dallas AI, the region’s largest nonprofit AI professional group with more than 5,000 members; and the Dallas Regional Chamber. The program, now in its second year, has done a great job to showcase the area’s unique strengths in artificial intelligence. Honorees were recognized during a special reception during the annual Convergence AI Dallas conference.
